In the role of Support Developer you will work as part of a dedicated support team and be responsible supporting and maintaining existing websites and software that have been developed by 3chillies. Leveraging your expertise you’ll address user queries, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective solutions on a daily basis to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of websites and applications. The role will involve: Assisting the Support Manager with the triage of support tickets. Working on tickets and collaborating with colleagues to find elegant, root-cause solutions to issues. Communicating effectively with clients of varied technological abilities. Performing pro-active maintenance to ensure smooth running of websites, CMS environments and supporting servers. Adhering and contributing to best practise and process development within our support team. The ideal candidate for the role will be able to think on their feet, collaborate with the team but also work independently when needed, have attention to detail, commitment to meeting SLA deadlines and staying organised to effectively handle the challenges of a varied, fast-paced and reactive Support department. Essential skills Experience in Umbraco CMS development, configuration, and troubleshooting. In-depth knowledge of Umbraco architecture, content management concepts, and best practices. Strong understanding and hands-on experience with .NET framework, C#, and ASP.NET MVC. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL (2 years commercial experience). Working under pressure and delivering to tight deadlines. Application development or application support experience in an agile / continuous delivery environment. Knowledge of working with distributed source control systems, particularly focusing on Git and Microsoft DevOps. Excellent problem solving and analysis skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be dealing with non-technical clients, so it is important that you convey technical issues in a manner suitable for the audience. Desirable skills Experience with Sitecore Experience Platform or Optimizely. Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS). AWS also desirable. Javascript/JQuery, HTML and CSS skills.
